SAF Certificates Orchestration Platform

AI-enabled infrastructure connecting SAF supply and demand through transparent, traceable and audit-ready certificate workflows.

Challenges

SAF needs market infrastructure to scale, while pressure on players is increasing.

SAF is a critical near-term lever for aviation decarbonization, but physical supply remains limited, expensive and unevenly distributed.

At the same time, airlines, corporates and logistics players face growing pressure from ESG compliance, Scope 3 reporting, net-zero targets and SAF mandates across multiple countries.

Book & Claim and SAF certificates can help connect SAF supply with global demand — but only if transactions are transparent, traceable, registry-aligned and supported by credible evidence.

What We Do

We simplify certificate transactions to boost low-carbon fuels adoption.

We provide the digital and commercial infrastructure to manage Sustainable Aviation Fuel certificates (SAFc), replacing fragmented, manual processes with trusted, auditable and scalable workflows that connect buyers, sellers and market infrastructure.

The platform supports the full certificate lifecycle — from issuance and transfer to retirement and reporting — and is designed to interoperate with multiple registries, Book & Claim systems and certification schemes.

As a result, we streamline transactions, support buyer decision-making and reduce friction across commercial and sustainability-reporting processes.

Our Solution

An orchestration platform to connect SAF stakeholders and address their needs:

More than a mere marketplace, what EC-Impact offers is the orchestration of environmental attributes, bridging supply, demand, and market infrastructure.

SAF Producers

Need demand, route-to-market and monetization of their environmental attributes.

Projects

Philippines

Pioneering a SAF certificates ecosystem in Asia

In 2025, EC-Impact announced a Sustainable Aviation Fuel certificate initiative in the Philippines under the umbrella of the Department of Transportation. The initial Proof of Concept was designed to demonstrate how trusted digital market infrastructure could connect the key participants required for a functioning SAF certificate ecosystem—from airlines and market-development partners to sustainability certification and public-sector stakeholders.

Why it matters

  • Pioneered SAF market infrastructure in Asia

  • Connected supply, demand, certification and government stakeholders

  • Tested a trusted digital platform approach

  • Demonstrated an end-to-end SAF certificate operating model

  • Laid the foundation for scaling SAF adoption across the region

An end-to-end proof of concept

The project brought together end to end SAF ecosystem. Through a single orchestration platform, the proof of concept explored how SAF certificate supply, demand, transaction workflows, certification requirements and claims evidence could be connected more efficiently.

Building our orchestration platform with the SAF ecosystem

In April 2026, EC-Impact launched its SAFc Minimum Viable Product (MVP) programme to validate the “live” operating model, workflows and stakeholder requirements needed to scale trusted SAFc transactions. The programme brings together more than 20 organisations across six countries, representing the full SAF value chain: feedstock providers, SAF producers, airlines, registries, MRV and assurance specialists, corporates, cargo operators, advisors and ecosystem partners.

Collaborating with industry participants

The MVP combines technical validation with direct industry input, shaping EC-Impact’s platform architecture, roadmap and governance model. From Proof of Concept to industrial-scale deployment, EC-Impact is building a trusted, scalable and interoperable infrastructure.

Validation goals

  • Priority use cases: Identify most relevant applications for airlines, corporates, cargo operators, producers and public stakeholders.

  • Registry integration: Assess how to accommodate different registry requirements and lifecycle rules, including registration and expiry rules, transfer policies, Scope 1 and 3 allocation, retirement constraints.

  • Operational readiness: Ensure feasability of market access, certificate listings, transaction options, price visibility, payment methods, portfolio management and real-time status.

Testing AI

We're exploring how smart automation can streamline transactions, support data quality and decision-making across the certificate lifecycle.
